Parks And Wildlife Commission To Meet In Denver

The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission will convene for a meeting Thursday and Friday to review 2012 accomplishments and discuss new information for 2013.

The meeting, which will be held in conjunction with the State Land Board, will start 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the CPW Denver campus at 6060 Broadway St, according to an agency news release.

The Thursday discussion will focus on conservation easement projects completed by CPW in 2012. On Friday the State Land Board will talk with CPW on mutually beneficial projects, as well as the latest information on the Endangered Species Act as it pertains to Gunnison sage-grouse, lesser prairie-chicken and wolverines.

A full agenda is available online on the CPW website.

The CPW commission sets regulations and policies for Colorado’s state parks and wildlife programs. It meets monthly in communities across the state.
