Colorado Parks and Wildlife commission sets Alamosa meeting

The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission is traveling this week to Alamosa, the site of this month’s regular meeting.

The two-day meeting begins at 9 a.m. Thursday with a tour of the Native Aquatic Species Restoration Facility off Alamosa County Road 106. Formal action begins at 1 p.m. at the Inn of the Rio Grande, 333 Santa Fe Ave.

In addition to the tour, commission members will approve state trails grants for 2013 and receive an update on hunter and angler trends in Colorado.

The commission sets regulations and policies for Parks and Wildlife programs.

Upcoming meetings will be held in Grand Junction, Walden, Gunnison, Trinidad, Montrose, Lamar and Pueblo.
