Duck hunting clinic slated in Colorado Springs

A free clinic for duck hunters will be offered at 6 p.m. on Dec. 18 in the Hunter Education classroom at the Colorado Parks and Wildlife office at 4255 Sinton Rd. in Colorado Springs, the agency reported a news release.

The clinic is designed to teach waterfowl hunters about hunting regulations, duck identification and hunting tactics with the hopes of increasing duck hunting success, according to the release.

“The class is designed for beginning duck hunters who want to learn how to get the most out of duck hunting,” said Allen Vitt, a Parks and Wildlife biologist, in the release. “The clinic will focus on understanding waterfowl habits and behavior, and how to make sure you have a safe, successful, legal hunt.

“Our goal is to help waterfowl hunters enjoy their experience and improve their success.”

The class size is limited to 50 people. Interested hunters are encouraged to RSVP by calling 719-227-5200.
